Here are a whole ton of pictures from my trip to Mexico! It was such a great trip! We had a huge superhero birthday party for all the kids complete with tons of presents and capes for each of them, cakes, pinatas, and party hats. Yes, I wore a cape all weekend.
We also had a huge pool party and were able to get 2 huge bounce-houses which the kids loved! It was a tiring few days for everyone, but so worth it. It's all about the kids and it was obvious they enjoyed it!!
By the way, the leadership in Kaiizen (i.e. me, among other people) have committed to raising $500 each by August to support our program in Brazil in which we're sending several teenagers to school (they graduate next year!). If you're able or willing to donate please email me at kelli @ kellinicolephoto.com. It's tax deductible! Thanks!

Smoothieliscious
As part of my determination to eat better I've been making smoothies on the days I don't intern. They looked so good this week I had to take pictures.
1. Mango strawberry-frozen mangoes, strawberries, plain kefir, (unsweetened) almond milk, about an ounce of mango acai juice (no added sugar) and a handful of fresh raspberries. Soooo good.
2. Blueberry mango strawberry-frozen blueberries, mangoes, and strawberries, kefir, almond milk
3. Strawberry-frozen strawberries, kefir, almond milk, about an ounce of that mango acai juice
My mornings have been awesome

Where the Heck is Matt?
If you haven't seen this (and even if you have) you need to watch it (again). I love it. You should love it. I know I'm a ridiculously emotional individual (I cry reading children's books and listening to Jack Johnson songs and I don't even have children), but I get all sappy and teary eyed every time I watch it. Music is spectacular. I can't help but think about my sweet little Filipino, African, or Mexican orphans (maybe one of the reasons for my emotional instability). Check out his site to learn more.

Another fab shoot for my final project! Here's the star of our show:
And a couple of shots of his older sisters, who were a big help!
He got sleepy, which was soooo sweet and gave me the best images!!
Isn't mom gorgeous?!?
Isn't he so handsome?? I photographed A LOT of baby girls while I was in the east bay, this was one of the only boys and I had so much fun! Thanks!
